LUI Ritual: Rebecca Harding


Here at LUI, we love the idea of rituals: those little everyday practices that help you feel calm, centred and whole. We believe shaving deserves to be part of this self-care routine. In celebration of mindful moments, the LUI Ritual series asks friends of the brand about their own positive habits and how they elevate their day.


HI, MY NAME IS… Rebecca Harding.


BUT EVERYONE CALLS ME… Bec, Beccy, Becky-boo (our nieces and nephews), The Queen (Andy).


WHEN I WAS GROWING UP I DREAMED OF BEING… a vet.


BUT NOW I WORK AS… model, content creator and, most importantly, LUI’s mum (aka Founder of LUI).


THE FIRST THING I DO WHEN I WAKE UP IS… check my sleep stats on my Oura Ring and Eight Sleep then give Henrietta a cuddle (and usually move her into the bed with Andy).


THE LAST SONG I PLAYED ON SPOTIFY… 'Love Me Not (feat. Rex Orange County)' by Ravyn Lenae.


MY MORNING ROUTINE IS…


1. Drink a full glass of water with my supplements and suck back my Cymbiotika sachets (I’m currently taking Vitamin C and Liposomal Glutathione).


2. A reformer pilates class at Saint Haven. I’m in there every morning early before I come up with an excuse as to why I should skip it.

3. Order an oat matcha latte with cinnamon and whilst I wait for that I’ll usually check over my schedule for the day and reply to any urgent emails.


4. Dry body brush, shower, shave and moisturise. I don’t feel like my day has properly started until I’ve had a shower. Dry body brushing really helps to kick start my lymphatic system.


5. Make the bed and take Henri for a walk before battling Punt Rd to get to the office.


THE PERFUME I SPRAY ON RIGHT BEFORE I LEAVE THE HOUSE IS… at the moment, I’m doing a layering situation of the Bottega Veneta Déjà Minuit and Penhaligon's Liquid Love.


MY COFFEE ORDER IS… oat matcha latte with cinammon.

THROUGHOUT MY DAY I FIND JOY IN… I’ve rediscovered the joy of getting dressed. Since getting our LUI office, I’ve been really enjoying putting together an outfit each day that doesn’t consist of loungewear.


MY LUNCH ORDER IS… either a CROP KITCHEN salad (my new favourite is a version of a caesar salad) or rice paper rolls.


MY 3PM PICK-ME-UP IS… I’m obsessed with Annie’s Fruit Bars. They’re 100% fruit and the perfect balance of sweet and sour. I think the apple and apricot one is my favourite.


AFTER A LONG DAY I SWITCH OFF BY… cooking dinner. I love listening to jazz music whilst I cook and the act of chopping vegetables is very meditative for me.


THE LAST BOOK I COULDN’T PUT DOWNWe Are What We Eat by Alice Waters. SOPHIE FROM CLUB SUP gave it to me a while back and I finally got to reading it.


MY NIGHTTIME ROUTINE IS…


1. Remove all makeup, SPF and grime with a double cleanse using an oil cleanser and gel cleanser.

2. Shower. I really love a shower before bed. I use a Deep Sleep Body Wash from This Works at night. It had vetiver, chamomile and lavender in it. And lather myself in the LUI BODY MOISTURISER.

3. Fill our diffuser with essential oils. At the moment I’m using a blend of lavender and eucalyptus.

4. Turn down the bed, spritz pillows with a sleep spray, dim all the lights and play a sleep frequency through the speakers in our bedroom.

5. The New York Times Mini Crossword and Connections before looking through featured photos in Memories for that day with Andy.

THE LAST THING I DO BEFORE BED IS… take my sleep supplements, turn my phone to Do Not Disturb, apply hand cream and give Andy a kiss.
