LUI Ritual: Lucy Brownless
Here at LUI, we love the idea of rituals: those little everyday practices that help you feel calm, centred and whole. We believe shaving deserves to be part of this self-care routine. In celebration of mindful moments, the LUI Ritual series asks friends of the brand about their own positive habits and how they elevate their day.
HI, MY NAME IS… Lucy Brownless.
BUT EVERYONE CALLS ME… Luce.
WHEN I WAS GROWING UP I DREAMED OF BEING… an actress!
BUT NOW I WORK AS… creative, yoga teacher and business owner of BLESS with my mum and sister.
THE FIRST THING I DO WHEN I WAKE UP IS… have my hot water and lemon, get back into bed and meditate for 5-10 mins and (try) to not look at my phone.
THE LAST SONG I PLAYED ON SPOTIFY… 'Yellow Brick Road' by Angus & Julia Stone.
MY MORNING ROUTINE IS…
1. Tongue scraper.
2. Hot lemon water back in bed while doing a meditation.
3. Coffee.
4. Some sort of movement depending on how I feel; could be yoga, pilates or a beach walk.
5. Breakfast at home on my balcony!
THE PERFUME I SPRAY ON RIGHT BEFORE I LEAVE THE HOUSE IS… lately it has just been a rose water spray I found in Rome last year, it smells divine! I don’t love strong fragrances so I always try to find something a little subtle and natural if I can.
MY COFFEE ORDER IS… almond cap.


THROUGHOUT MY DAY I FIND JOY IN… the little things. This may be an ocean swim, my morning cup of coffee, seeing a girlfriend for a walk, buying myself a fresh bunch of flowers or making dinner at home.
MY LUNCH ORDER IS… normally a chicken and avo salad or something I pick up while I am on the go. Normally this is very simple!
MY 3PM PICK-ME-UP IS… a chai tea and a little sweet treat of some sort – perhaps some apple with peanut butter.
AFTER A LONG DAY I SWITCH OFF BY… having an ocean swim or walking around the block, something to decompress. Sometimes this is 5-10 mins of restorative yoga before bed also.
THE LAST BOOK I COULDN’T PUT DOWN… Daisy Jones and the Six.
MY NIGHTTIME ROUTINE IS…
1. Shower or bath.
2. Night time skincare routine, atm I am loving Rationale.
3. Peppermint tea and a little choccie, while burning my fav incense or candle.
4. Watch and ep of my fav TV show or read a couple of pages of my book.
5. Write a list for what needs to be done the next day and book in for my morning class (if I am doing one).
THE LAST THING I DO BEFORE BED IS… spray my pillow with This Works sleep pillow spray, as well as my feet with magnesium spray (you absorb quicker through the feet) and roll some essential oil on my wrists! Sweet dreams!!! <3
