5 Daily Wellness Practices To Boost Beauty
Here at LUI, we take a well-rounded and holistic approach to wellness. Topical skincare products are great, but beauty extends far beyond the bathroom vanity. Living a lifestyle that's in sync with the seasons and in tune with your body and mind gives a glow like no other. Small and simple daily wellness practices can have profound effects on how you look and feel. Below, find five wellness tips to incorporate into your routine this summer to boost beauty.
EAT A RAINBOW DIET
Nourish your body with a balanced diet rich in plant-based foods. The ideal meal should be (naturally) colourful and bursting with different textures and flavours. Leafy greens, berries, and good fats (like those from oily fish, avocado and nuts) are all food for the skin. Hydrate from within with plenty of fluids: filtered water garnished with slices of lemon, bone broth, herbal tea and matcha are our go-to’s. More research continues to emerge about the fascinating connection between skin health and gut health. Support your gut flora with probiotics - think sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir and yogurt.
GET PLENTY OF REST
Getting enough “beauty sleep” is not just a myth. Your skin literally renews itself while you sleep. Aim for 8 hours of it a night for ultimate cellular renewal. You’ll wake up feeling ready to take on the day, with an added glowing complexion. Curate a calming bedtime routine by taking a warm shower or BATH, winding down with a candle or incense, sipping on a cup of (non-caffeinated) tea, and hopping into a comfy bed dressed in linen or organic cotton sheets.
CONNECT WITH SELF

Exercise improves blood circulation, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the skin for a healthy and happy glow. It's also a known stress-reliever, lowering cortisol and helping to reduce skin inflammation and associated conditions like acne and eczema.
DETOX YOUR BODY
Eliminate toxins from your body through deep sweat. Our favourite way to achieve this is by hopping into an INFRARED SAUNA. Being exposed to high temperatures in a controlled environment induces sweating, which is thought to flush out toxins from your skin and organs. You feel and look incredible afterwards, and there's also added benefits for muscle recovery and enhanced sleep quality. Another easy way to detox at home is by DRY BODY BRUSHING.
