LUI Ritual: Elle Ferguson
Here at LUI, we love the idea of rituals: those little everyday practices that help you feel calm, centred and whole. We believe shaving deserves to be part of this self-care routine. In celebration of mindful moments, the LUI Ritual series asks friends of the brand about their own positive habits and how they elevate their day.
HI, MY NAME IS…Elle Ferguson.
BUT EVERYONE CALLS ME… Elle… Or babes.
WHEN I WAS GROWING UP I DREAMED OF BEING… famous.
BUT NOW I WORK AS… founder of ELEFFECT, and a digital influencer/entrepreneur/creative consultant.
THE FIRST THING I DO WHEN I WAKE UP IS… check my phone; that's so bad.
THE LAST SONG I PLAYED ON SPOTIFY… 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC.
MY MORNING ROUTINE IS…
1. Check my phone and reply to any urgent emails that have come in overnight.
2. Wash my face with ice cold water then clean my teeth.
3. Jump on the treadmill and run for an hour. I aim to do 10kms six days a week. This is something I have been doing since the pandemic and it's a form of meditation and self-discipline. It sets me up for a great day.
4. Shower.
5. Smoothie.
THE PERFUME I SPRAY ON RIGHT BEFORE I LEAVE THE HOUSE IS… I have the hugest collection of fragrances, so I LOVE to layer and mix however if I need a confidence boost I borrow Joel’s Le Labo The Noir 29 and spray it all over myself.
MY COFFEE ORDER IS… I don't drink coffee however I treat myself to a Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino every now and then.

THROUGHOUT MY DAY I FIND JOY IN… the small things. I love receiving messages from people on social that I have brought some joy into their days either through a post, message or story. I love achieving my goals so if I can do that I find joy. I think that's why I run six days a week, because I find the joy in achieving that.
MY LUNCH ORDER IS… whatever I can eat on the go. Usually a salad or smoothie.
MY 3PM PICK-ME-UP IS… A call to Joel Patfull or Thunderstruck by AC/DC.
AFTER A LONG DAY I SWITCH OFF BY… watching some very tacky TV.
THE LAST BOOK I COULDN’T PUT DOWN… I'm more of a magazine girl. French Vogue has my heart.
MY NIGHTTIME ROUTINE IS…
1. A looooong hot shower using ELEFFECT THE WASH to remove old tan and hydrate my skin.
2. I'm not just saying this but I use my LUI RAZOR every night. It actually gives me joy using it because it feels so luxe and fancy and makes me question what I was actually doing before I started using it.
3. After the shower I love to wrap myself up in my Skims terry robe and wait an hour for my skin to level out after the hot shower.
4. I then apply a coat of ELEFFECT THE TAN with the APPLICATION MITT. I usually do two coats for an ‘I've been on a holiday’ glow.
5. Sit on the lounge marinating in my tan smelling like roses while most likely watching Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making The Team.
THE LAST THING I DO BEFORE BED IS… send a message to my sister saying goodnight and that I love her. Give Joel a kiss and tell him I love him.
